Job summary

BrookWell Infusion in Lexington, KY is seeking a Registered Nurse to support our Nurse Practitioner and Medical Director during patient care. The RN will primarily provide clinical services such as infusions and injections, while occasionally assisting with administrative tasks.

The role involves documenting patient responses, assisting providers, monitoring vitals, administering medications, and ensuring CDC-compliant sanitation.

Qualifications

• Current RN license.
• 1-2 years infusion experience in clinic or hospital setting preferred.
• Computer literacy including MS Office, EHRs, internet, and mobile apps.
• Friendly personality with good people skills and teamwork.
• Good written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and eagerness to learn all aspects of providing various infusions and injections to patients.
• Assumes responsibility for assigned group of patients.
• Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and medical treatments; notes changes in provider orders.
• Assists provider in examination and procedures and treatment.
• Obtains and monitors physiological data; intervenes as necessary.
• Administers medications as prescribed – initiates, regulates and monitors IV infusions and blood products.
• Delivers patient care competently.
• Interacts with family and patients to share the care plan.
• Assists in administrative tasks as assigned by supervisor.
• Supports scheduling, benefits verification, and prior authorization as needed by patient service team.
• Ensures clinic sanitization per CDC guidelines throughout the day.
• Team player, willing to help across areas to care for patients.
• Reports to partners or designee and participates in meetings, training, and coordination.
• Other projects or responsibilities as assigned.

The RN will be an invaluable team member providing support to our Nurse Practitioner and Medical Director and possibly RNs in providing all patients with excellent care throughout each step of the patient care process. While this role will primarily be clinical, this individual will also at times participate in the administrative process, as needed.

The RN will be an invaluable team member providing support to our Nurse Practitioner and Medical Director and possibly RNs in providing all patients with excellent care throughout each step of the patient care process. While this role will primarily be clinical, this individual will also at times participate in the administrative process, as needed.
This position will serve our Lexington, KY location.
Responsibilities of the RN include the following:

• Demonstrates knowledge and an eagerness to learn all aspects of providing various infusions and injections to patients, and being a key team member in the patient care process.
• Assumes responsibility for assigned group of patients.
• Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and medical treatments; notes all changes in provider order on assigned patients.
• Assists provider in the examination of patients as well as any procedures and treatment.
• Obtains and monitors physiological data of patients, observes the physiological manifestations of patients and intervenes when necessary.
• Administers medications as prescribed – initiates, regulates and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products.
• Delivers patient care competently.
• Interacts with family and patients in sharing care plan before, during and after treatment.
• Assists in administrative tasks as assigned by supervisor.
• Willingness to learn the administrative process of scheduling patients, benefits verification, and prior authorization, as this candidate may be required at times to provide support to the patient service representative in these areas.
• Ensures that the clinic is sanitized according to CDC guidelines regularly throughout the day to prevent the spread of any virus or bacteria.
• An avid commitment to excellence, accuracy, efficiency, and a positive spirit in all aspects of daily work in the clinic.
• Team player – willing to help with any area needed to successfully care for patients.
• Reporting to the partners or their designee in a prompt, efficient manner with the proper disposition. This may include participation in routine management meetings, training oversight, reporting, and coordination with other departments or personnel.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current RN license
• 1-2 years infusion experience in clinic or hospital setting preferred
• Computer literacy, including knowledge of software applications and familiarity with MS Office, electronic health records, internet, and mobile applications
• A friendly personality with good people skills including team collaboration.
• Good written communication skills
