Job summary

St. David's North Austin Medical Center is seeking a PRN Registered Dietitian to manage patient nutrition care within a multi-disciplinary team at an acute care hospital. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient diets according to physician orders and standards of care.

The role requires a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition or related field with ACEND-approved training. RD or eligibility with licensure in Texas is required within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nutrition or Culinary related field with ACEND-approved program.
• Registered Dietitian or eligible; Texas licensure within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assess nutritional status and use medical records to determine needs.
• Develop nutrition care plans for patients of all ages.
• Provide nutrition teaching and counseling to patients and families.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary care team and physicians.
• Orient and train new department staff.
• Document care in accordance with policies.
