Elior North America is seeking a PRN Registered Dietitian to join the healthcare team at Cortland Manor, NY. You will assess nutritional needs, initiate interventions to improve residents’ status, and enhance quality of life aligned with patients’ goals.

Typical schedule is 8–16 hours per month, with potential for additional weekday, weekend, or vacation coverage. You will work with the health care team to educate patients, follow practice standards, and contribute to nutrition-related policies

Competenze

• At least 1 year of experience as a Registered Dietitian.
• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (prior to 2024) or related field.
• Master’s degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passed a national examination administered by the CDR or meets Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics eligibility requirements.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years per CDR.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards for assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

The Role at a glance:

We are looking to add an experienced PRN Registered Dietitian to our healthcare team in Cortland Manor, NY. As a Registered Dietitian, you will have the opportunity to identify and assess the nutritional needs of assigned patients/residents, initiate interventions to achieve and/or maintain individuals nutritional status, and enhance quality of life consistent with patient’s/resident’s goals. *This position will typically be scheduled 8 - 16 hours per month, with the possibility of additional weekday, weekend, or vacation coverage.*

What you'll be doing:

• Providing nutritional expertise to the health care team and educating patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Following the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interacting with other departments in setting up procedures and policies, and in problem solving as it relates to dining service and nutrition.
• Actively participating in the development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.

What we're looking for:

Must-haves:

• At least 1 years' prior experience as a Registered Dietitian
• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) or related field
• Master's degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education hours every five years, in accordance with the CDR, utilizing the professional portfolio development process.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience working in healthcare or long-term care.

Compensation Range:

• $62.00 - $68.00 per hour, depending on experience
