Elior North America is recruiting a PRN Registered Dietitian for Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. The role focuses on assessing nutritional needs, initiating interventions, and improving patient quality of life in a healthcare setting.

Typical schedule ranges from 8–16 hours per week. The candidate should hold a Bachelor’s in nutrition or related field, a Master’s in Nutrition, pass the CDR exam or be eligible, and maintain 75 hours of CE every five years.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) or related field.
• Master’s degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.

Responsabilidades

• Providing nutritional expertise to the health care team and educating patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Following the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interacting with other departments to set up procedures and policies related to dining service and nutrition.

The Role at a glance:

We are looking to add an experienced PRN Registered Dietitian to our healthcare & food service team in Pittsburgh, PA . As a Registered Dietitian, you will have the opportunity to identify and assess the nutritional needs of assigned patients/residents, initiate interventions to achieve and/or maintain individuals nutritional status, and enhance quality of life consistent with patient’s/resident’s goals. *This position will typically be scheduled 8 - 16 hours per week.*

What you‘ll be doing:

• Providing nutritional expertise to the health care team and educating patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Following the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interacting with other departments in setting up procedures and policies, and in problem solving as it relates to dining service and nutrition.
• Actively participating in the development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.

What we‘re looking for:

Must-haves:

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) or related field
• Master‘s degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education hours every five years, in accordance with the CDR, utilizing the professional portfolio development process.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience working in healthcare or long-term care.

Compensation Range:

• $35.00 - $40.00 per hour, depending on experience
