Job summary

A medical group in Charlotte is seeking a Part-Time Radiology Technologist to conduct diagnostic radiographs while ensuring patient safety. This role requires scheduling 2-3 shifts per week with hours on weekday evenings or weekends. Responsible for patient communication, operating radiology equipment, and maintaining facility standards. Candidates must have graduated from an accredited Radiologic Technologist program and hold the necessary certifications. This position is not eligible for benefits.

Job description

**We have an opportunity with OrthoCarolina for a Part Time (8 hours per week) Radiology Technologist** **or Limited Licensed Radiology Technologist with our***This position will be scheduled 2-3 shifts per week, with shifts either Monday-Friday 5:30pm-9:00pm or Saturday/Sunday 10:00am-2:00pm.**\***OUC clinic hours: Monday-Friday 5:30pm-9:30pm; Saturday and Sunday 10am-2pm*The **Radiology Technologist** will provide diagnostic quality radiographs for physicians and/or physician assistants while protecting employees and patients from unnecessary radiation and usage of appropriate protection standards.**Essential Functions:*** Demonstrates competency in positioning of all radiological procedures as prescribed by departmental policy.* Communicates with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinical history, confirm acknowledgment of patients' understanding and address any questions or concerns.* Positions patients and selects exposure factors for various radiologic examinations and provides patient with radiation protection and safety in accordance with prescribed methods.* Logs radiological procedures completed, processes charges and related paperwork using computer equipment as directed.* Maintains cleanliness of examination rooms and stocks necessary medical and/or radiological supplies in the department. Compliance with all OrthoCarolina policy and procedures.* Assists with the transportation of patients between the examination module(s) and the Radiology department.
