Job summary

City of Hope is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for a PRN role. The position requires operating routine radiographic equipment safely, adhering to compliance policies, and providing high-quality imaging with minimal repeats.

The candidate must hold ARRT in Radiography, be licensed in Arizona, and possess BLS. Excellent communication with physicians, patients, and staff is essential as part of a busy imaging department.

Qualifications

• Education: High School graduate or equivalent. Graduation from an ARRT-approved program. Completion of required hours of continuing education to remain in compliance with the ARRT CME requirement.
• Certification: Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiography and licensed with the Arizona Department of Health Services. Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
• Special Skills: Fully proficient in diagnostic radiography. Must possess excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate all routine radiographic equipment in a safe and proficient manner.
• Abide by and enforce all compliance requirements and policies with ethical conduct.
• Communicate with physicians, patients, families, and ancillary hospital personnel.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives.
• Assist with day-to-day department operations (clerical duties, inventory, stocking, light housekeeping).
• May participate in training and orientation of other employees.
• Cross-train in additional modalities as directed by the Director of Imaging.
• Support scheduling, patient flow and quality assurance, with fiscal awareness.
