Job summary

Valley View Hospital seeks two PRN Radiation Therapists in Colorado to join a busy Radiation Oncology team. The role focuses on administering ionizing radiation, following treatment plans, and maintaining safety standards within a multidisciplinary setting.

Qualified candidates will have completed a radiation therapy program and hold RT(T) certification. Experience in Radiation Oncology is preferred, with bilingual English/Spanish highly valued.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a radiation therapy training program, RT(T) certification and maintaining certification.
• Experience in the area of Radiation Oncology is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers ionizing radiation per treatment plan.
• Understands anatomy, physiology, pathology, oncology, radiobiology and radiation safety.
• Interprets and delivers treatments per plans and protocols.
• Familiar with modern radiation therapy delivery systems, imaging systems and electronic medical records.
• Proficient with techniques: Breath Hold, SRS/SBRT, Superficial and HDR.
• MOSAIQ experience preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

• Pay or shift range: $46.75 USD to $70.13 USD
  The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.

Description

Our Radiation Oncology Department has an opening for 2 PRN Radiation Therapist to join our Team.

General Objectives:

• As a member of the radiation oncology team, administers ionizing radiation for the purpose of treating diseases.
• Demonstrates general understanding of anatomy and physiology pathology, medical terminology, oncology, radiobiology, radiation physics, radiation oncology techniques, radiation safety and the psychosocial aspects of cancer toward the end.

Education:

• Successful completion of a radiation therapy training program, R.T. (T) certification and maintaining certification.

Experience:

• Experience in the area of Radiation Oncology is preferred.

Skills:

• Working knowledge of radiation safety and current rules and regulations pertaining to radiation therapy
• Ability to interpret and deliver treatments per plans and relevant treatment protocols
• Experience with modern radiation therapy delivery systems, imaging systems and electronic medical records
• Experience with the following techniques required: Breath Hold, SRS and SBRT, Superficial and HDR
• Working knowledge of Mosaiq highly preferred;
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred.
• Starting wage dependentupon experience, education, and skill set
