Job summary

Stern-Therapy-Consultants in Silver Spring, Maryland is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team in a PRN or Part-Time capacity. You will help deliver personalized care that supports each resident's unique physical and mobility goals.

This role involves implementing treatment plans, educating residents and families, and working closely with the Physical Therapist to ensure effective care. Ideal candidates have a PTA license and prior experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility.

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state.
• Previous experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to support and advocate for your patients.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans to improve residents' strength and mobility.
• Guide and train patients and caregivers on exercises and mobility techniques.
• Assist with ongoing assessments and documentation of residents' progress.
• Work closely with the Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary team.

In this role, you'll help deliver personalized, hands-on treatment plans that support each resident's unique physical, mobility, and functional goals. What You'll Do:

• Restore Independence: Implement individualized treatment plans to improve residents' strength, mobility, balance, and daily living activities.
• Educate & Support: Guide and train patients, families, and caregivers on exercises, safe mobility techniques, and progress.
• Evaluate & Document: Assist with ongoing assessments and maintain accurate, timely documentation of each resident's progress.
• Collaborate Effectively: Work closely with the Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, effective care.

What You'll Need:

• Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state.
• Previous experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to support and advocate for your patients.
