Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a physician to examine and treat patients, including virtual care, while maintaining comprehensive medical records in compliance with policies. The role supports an integrated healthcare delivery system across Texas.

The candidate must hold a Doctorate in Medicine, be licensed in Texas, and pursue or maintain board certification. CME participation and professional development are encouraged to ensure ongoing clinical excellence.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in medicine and Texas medical licensure.
• Board certification or active pursuit of board certification as defined by the appropriate specialty board.
• Experience with telehealth platforms and medical records compliance.

Responsibilities

• Examine, collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical history, reports, and examination results.
• Clinical practice via telehealth platforms for patients of the Employer.
• Maintain and organize records, including claims and correspondence, as required by Employer policies.
• Participate in utilization management, quality improvement, risk management and other patient care programs for third party payors.
• Promote the Employer's professional practice and contribute to an integrated health care delivery system.
• Attend CME events and related professional society functions to maintain skills.

Essential Functions Of The Role

• Examine, collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical history, reports, and examination results.
• Clinical Practice. (a) Interviewing, examining, and providing medical services and treatment virtually through Employer-approved telehealth platforms to patients of the Employer, including, without limitation, patients referred from other physicians;
• Keeping and maintaining, or causing to be kept and maintained, appropriate records, reports, claims, and correspondence necessary and appropriate in connection with all professional services rendered by Physician under this Agreement, including, but not limited to, information on the medical services provided and financial information generated therefrom all in accordance with the Employer's policies and protocols regarding medical records, claims preparation and utilization management;
• Participating in utilization management, quality improvement, risk management and other patient care management programs established by, or carried on for third party payors by, the Employer;
• Promoting, to the extent permitted by law and the applicable canons of medical ethics, the professional practice of the Employer and assisting in developing a fully integrated health care delivery system as a part of the BSWH System;
• Attending, to the extent reasonable and at a minimum to the extent necessary to abide by the Employer's CME policies and the requirements of Physician's medical board specialty, professional conventions, postgraduate seminars, and functions of professional societies necessary to maintain and improve Physician's professional skills.

Qualifications

Doctorate Degree in Medicine

• Licensed to Practice Medicine in the state of Texas by the Texas Medical Board
• Where Applicable- Employee shall be currently board certified in his or her specialty or demonstrate active pursuit of board certification as defined by the appropriate specialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties or the Bureau of Osteopathic Specialists
