Summit BHC in Westfield, PA seeks a PRN Registered Nurse at Mountain Laurel Recovery Center to provide nursing care, supervise LPNs/CNAs, and develop care plans for clients with behavioral health needs.

The role involves medication administration, accurate documentation, collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, and ongoing assessment of patient condition. This on-site position supports detox and psychiatric services.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved/accredited school of nursing.
• 1+ year nursing experience preferred, especially in behavioral health/psychiatric or addiction recovery environments.
• Knowledge of psychotropic medications and administration procedures.
• Ability to apply nursing standards in an acute psychiatric setting.

Responsabilités

• Provide and coordinate care by assessing physical and behavioral health needs; develop nursing care plans and educate clients and families.
• Assess clients’ status and communicate findings to providers timely.
• Obtain and document provider orders; transcribe and review orders per policy.
• Administer medications accurately with two identifiers.
• Escalate significant changes in status to providers and document outcomes.
• Maintain accountability of medication administration and nursing records.
• Complete admission and discharge processes efficiently as directed.
• Coordinate with treatment team and participate in unit activities and handoffs.
