Job summary

MainStreet Family Care in the East NC region is seeking a PRN Physician Assistant (PA) to support multiple clinics. You will provide patient-focused urgent care, perform minor procedures, review x-rays, and contribute to telemedicine and occupational medicine.

Ideal candidates hold PA certification and MSN or higher, with strong communication skills and EMR experience. Shifts are set two months in advance across MainStreetClinic and KidsStreetClinic, with hours including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• PA certification required.
• MSN or higher education required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with EMR and Microsoft Office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Minor surgeries (toe nail removal, foreign object removal).
• Suturing and splinting.
• General orthopedic evaluations/management.
• Review of x-rays (over-read by Radiologist).
• General dermatology and eye problems.
• EKG interpretations and emergency management.
• GYN care and treating children of all ages.
• Occupational medicine and telemedicine.

You will provide patient-focusedcare to help our patients feel better FAST! Boom! Services provided to the public include urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine. The ideal applicant will be flexible in working with teams in different clinics and providing leadership in a high-volume, fast-paced urgent care environment.

Responsibilities:

• Minor surgery (toenail removal, foreign object removal, etc.)
• Suturing
• Splinting
• General Orthopedic evaluations/management
• Review of x-rays (to be over-read by Radiologist, too)
• General Dermatology
• General eye problems
• General EKG interpretations
• Emergency management skills
• General GYN expertise
• Treating children of all ages
• Occupational medicine
• Telemedicine

Schedule:

• Shifts determined two months in advance
• MainStreetClinic Hours
  • Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

• KidsStreetClinic Hours
  • Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
• Work hours are subject to change based on company needs, training, floaters, etc.

Qualifications:

• Physician Assistant certification required
• MSN, or higher education required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred
