Job summary

Chillicothe Health Facility is seeking a PRN Physical Therapy Assistant to support the Staff Physical Therapist with patient care in a busy setting in Chillicothe, Ohio.

Responsibilities include treating patients per PT directives, recording daily notes, assisting with department maintenance, and participating in care conferences. You will also educate families for discharge, report equipment issues, and collaborate with the care team to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Staff Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Proficient with Casamba and Point Click Care.
• Ability to read technical procedures and policy manuals.
• Must maintain licensure in good standing and meet CE requirements.
• Able to relate positively with patients, families, staff and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients as directed by a Physical Therapist.
• Record daily treatment notes and weekly progress notes.
• Assist in maintaining department and treatment area.
• Participate in patient care and rehabilitation conferences.
• Instruct families and nursing staff on maintenance and discharge preparation.
• Report equipment problems and assist with training of staff.
