Job summary

Rockwell Park Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Charlotte, NC is seeking a part-time Physical Therapy Assistant (PRN) to provide patient care under PT supervision. A graduate degree in Physical Therapy with current state licensure is required, with an opportunity to work flexibly within the facility.

Responsibilities include assisting with patient treatment plans, documenting progress, and coordinating with the rehabilitation team to ensure quality care and compliance with state guidelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited university with a BA or Associates degree in Physical Therapy recognized by the APTA.
• Holds current license and/or registration in the state.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under the supervision of a PT according to state practice guidelines.
• Assist PT in identifying appropriate patients and referring them to rehab accordingly.
• Document patient’s daily participation and progress on progress notes with PT co-signature.
• Ensure MD orders are obtained for treatments, recertifications and discharges.
• Attend facility and rehab meetings as indicated by Supervisor.
• Supervise junior PTA staff or students as needed.
• Maintain professional relationships with coworkers, facility staff, patients and families.
