Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required.
• Licensed by the Virginia Board of Physical Therapy is required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and develops plan of care according to APTA guidelines.
• Administers physical therapy treatments appropriate to diagnosis.
• Completes discharge planning according to APTA guidelines by consulting with physicians, nurses, social workers, and other health care workers; contributing to patient care conferences.
• Documents and charges for patient care services by charting in patient and department records according to federal, state, and local regulations.
• Promotes infection-control and safety policies and protocols; protects patients, employees, and visitors.
• Meets productivity standards.
• Operates equipment, follows manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshoots malfunctions and reports repair needs to supervisor.
• Supervises Licensed Physical Therapy Assistants, Rehab Aides, other support staff, and students.
• Other duties as assigned
