Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Dallas Downtown (Desoto) is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist to provide compassionate, evidence-based care in a critical illness recovery setting in Desoto, TX. You will assess patients, plan treatment, and collaborate with PTAs and students to support recovery.

You will be supported by extensive orientation, opportunities for advancement, and benefits including 401k eligibility and employee assistance programs. This role is on-site with flexible per diem scheduling.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist is required.

Responsibilities

• Performing initial and ongoing systematic patient assessment.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Teaching and counseling patients/families.
• Setting goals and developing treatment plans.
• Working cooperatively to identify and solve patient-specific and facility-wide needs.
• Supervising PTAs and PT/PTA students.
• Conducting individual patient therapy regimens.
• Monitoring patient responses and modifying treatment during sessions.
• Completing documentation according to department policies.
• Participating in continuing education seminars and in-services.
