University Hospitals Pain Management seeks a Physical Therapist to organize and conduct rehabilitation activities, directing patient participation to restore function and promote health. • Completes required documentation and billing; adheres to department policies and PHI regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned and ensures coverage for PTO/LOA and staffing shortages.

Jobbeschreibung

• Organizes and conducts Physical Therapy program to facilitate the rehabilitation of people with physical and/or psychosocial disabilities.
• The Physical Therapist directs the patient's participation in selected activities/treatments to restore, re-enforce and correct pathology to promote and/or maintain good health.
• Performs evaluation(s) and develops an effective treatment plan appropriate to a patient's rehabilitation needs within the care continuum.
• Performs effective treatment techniques in a competent manner.
• Educates patient/family/caregiver in applicable health information, treatment and prevention.
• Initiates and participates in the discharge planning process.
• Performs other department activities such as, but not limited to documentation, billing, support of department operations, etc.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
• For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.
• Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.
• Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
• Coverage for PTO, LOA, and staffing shortages.
• This is a PRN position.
