MU Health Care is seeking a passionate Physical Therapist to join our Therapy Services team in Jefferson City. This PRN, on-site role focuses on delivering high-quality patient care while mentoring students and contributing to continuous learning.

The ideal candidate will showcase advanced clinical skills, ethical standards, and a collaborative approach to improve mobility and restore function for patients we serve.

Qualifications

• PT licensure required with Missouri Board of Registration or PT Compact multi-state privilege.
• PT Temporary License holders must be a graduate of a PT program.

Responsabilités

• Performs comprehensive patient evaluations in a time-sensitive manner to assess functional limitations and rehabilitation potential.
• Develops individualized physical therapy plans of care based on evaluation findings and patient goals.
• Implements treatment plans using evidence-based interventions to restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent disability.
• Administers therapeutic interventions requiring advanced clinical skills, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and functional training.
• Applies modalities including heat and cold therapy, electrical stimulation, ultrasound, hydrotherapy, spinal traction, and casting per physician orders.
• Documents patient evaluations, treatment plans, interventions, and progress per MU Health Care policies.
• Monitors patient response and modifies plans of care to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care.
• Maintains compliance with APTA Code of Ethics and Missouri Practice Act to ensure licensure and standards.
• Orders and manages discipline-specific referrals per state acts and regulatory requirements.
• Participates in professional development to maintain licensure and competency.
• Educates PT students as assigned to support clinical education.
