Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking a Supplemental Physical Therapist to provide PRN coverage on weekends and holidays at Pearland Hospital. The therapist will assess patients, develop treatment plans, document progress and mentor staff while supporting program development and patient care excellence.

The candidate should hold a PT degree, Texas license, BLS, and ideally one year of experience; they will serve as a clinical leader and resource, contributing to departmental goals and

Qualifications

• One (1) year of experience preferred.
• Demonstrates ability and willingness to mentor/train staff or supervise clinical interns/students.
• Provides clinical leadership and demonstrates increasing expertise for a particular patient type/group or enhances an existing clinical program for that particular patient type/group.
• Serves as a clinical resource for hospital and/or system or departmental committee/task force or initiates and/or provides leadership in an ongoing departmental interest/study group.
• Designs and implements original staff development program which facilitates the clinical competencies of other staff members.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patients and develops/initiates a plan of care.
• Oversees evaluation, goals and progress with therapy interventions.
• Mentors assistants, students, interns and rehabilitation technicians.
• Acts as clinical instructor and resource across departments and committees.
• Ensures safety and adherence to Memorial Hermann policies and standards.
