Job summary

CommuniCare Rehab, a member of the CommuniCare Family of Companies, has a PRN opening for a Physical Therapy Assistant at Burlington Healthcare Center. The PTA team member will support residents with therapy, coordinate with the in-house team, and contribute to quality of life improvements.

This is a PRN role across centers, enabling flexible coverage. Qualified candidates hold an accredited PTA degree and a current or pending state license.

Qualifications

• Must have a Physical Therapy Assistant Degree from an Accredited Program.
• Must hold a valid or pending State Physical Therapy Assistant License.

Responsibilities

• Verifies client information by interviewing client; reviewing/recording medical history; confirming purpose of treatment.
• Helps clients improve quality of life by assisting with mobility and independence.
• Implements treatment plan through direct treatment and collaboration with Physical Therapist and team.

Education

Physical Therapy Assistant Degree from an Accredited Program

Qualifications

• A Physical Therapy Assistant Degree from an Accredited Program.
• Hold a valid or pending State Physical Therapy Assistant License

Job Responsibilities

• Verifies client information by interviewing client;

• Helps clients improve their quality of life by helping them compensate for limitations, such as, helping injured workers improve their motor skills and re-enter the labor force, and teaching persons with learning disabilities live with increased independence to use public transportation and increase their mobility independence.
• Implements treatment plan through direct treatment and collaboration with Physical Therapist, education of other members of team involved in the treatment plan and family members.
