Job summary

TriStar NorthCrest Medical Center invites qualified Phlebotomists PRN to join our laboratory team in Springfield, TN. You will perform venipuncture and blood culture collection, ensure proper patient identification, and handle specimen processing for accurate lab results.

This PRN position requires solid phlebotomy skills, basic computer use, and the ability to travel offsite when needed. A current BLS certification is required or obtained during orientation, with benefits supporting your health

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification (or obtain prior to orientation).
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong communication abilities.
• Phlebotomy skills preferred.
• Offsite travel requires valid driver’s license and clean driving history.

Responsibilities

• Perform venous blood collection procedures with as little patient discomfort as possible.
• Perform blood culture collection procedures.
• Identify the patient by comparing requisition information to the ID band before venipuncture.
• Dispose of sharps in a rigid sharps container and follow standard precautions.
• Travel offsite for specimen pickup or report delivery as needed.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and assist physicians with laboratory needs.
