Job summary

UF Health is seeking a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) for PRN shifts from 6:45pm to 7:15am. The PCA provides direct patient care under the supervision of an RN and helps deliver safe, patient-centered care while maintaining a clean, orderly environment and demonstrating service excellence to promote patient and family satisfaction.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, basic life support, and the ability to communicate in English.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates teamwork and communicates in a professional manner with all of the healthcare team.
• Demonstrates the ability to learn and apply hospital computer technologies and procedures affecting patient care.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology and standard precautions, reads and writes in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Maintain a clean, orderly environment and promote patient and family satisfaction through service excellence.
