Job summary

Premier Physical Therapy and Sports Performance is seeking a motivated Physical Therapist for our Middletown, DE clinic. This PRN or part‑time position emphasizes evidence‑based care and patient outcomes in an energetic outpatient setting.

You will evaluate patients, develop and implement treatment plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to improve function and reduce pain. Delaware licensure and CPR are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy Program.
• Current State of Delaware Physical Therapist license, CPR certification.
• Outgoing and energetic personality.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop treatment plans.
• Review referrals and patient records to determine treatment.
• Provide direct patient care following established protocols and guidelines.
• Document findings, progress, and instructions for patients and caregivers.
• Oversee care provided by assistants and rehabilitation technicians.
• Develop written plans of care and goals from evaluations.
• Implement therapy and essential treatments.
• Communicate with patients, caregivers, physicians, and insurers.
• Ensure timely documentation including notes and reports.

Premier Physical Therapy and Sports Performance was founded in 2007 to bring the region another level of care focused on the highest standards of clinical excellence. The team at Premier has achieved ABPTRFE accreditation for our in-house Sports Residency and Orthopedic Residency Programs. Premier PT is an outpatient orthopedic and sports physical therapy group treating musculoskeletal dysfunction and pain for all conditions. We specialize in orthopedic and sports physical therapy, dry needling, vestibular interventions, splinting and certified hand therapy, industrial injury prevention and rehabilitation, recovery from auto accident injuries, post-concussion treatment, balance training, post-surgical rehabilitation, athletic training, and the treatment and rehabilitation of all types of acute and chronic pain and injury conditions. We believe strongly in serving our communities, and we provide outreach Athletic Training services to nine Delaware high schools and multiple community sport organizations.

What You’ll Do:

• Assess patients to develop and initiate treatment plans based on the evaluation results
• Review the physician's referral (prescription) and the patient's condition and medical records to determine the physical therapy treatment required
• Provide direct patient care by established protocols and patient care guidelines
• Document findings, progress, and instructions to patients and caregivers
• Responsible for patient care performed by assistants and rehabilitation technicians
• Complete a written plan of care, develop goals based on evaluation findings, and develop a comprehensive program to attain goals
• Implement physical therapy treatment program and provide essential physical therapy treatments
• Communicate effectively with patients/caregivers and professional colleagues, including physicians and insurance companies
• Ensure timely documentation, including daily notes, weekly workers' compensation reports, progress reports, initial evaluations, discharge summaries, and incident reports

Qualifications
