Medical City Surgery Center -Denton, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a PRN Operating Room Nurse to join our ambulatory surgery team. You will contribute as circulating or scrub, delivering safe, patient-centered care and ensuring smooth handoffs to recovery.

The role requires at least 1 year OR experience, an active RN license, BCLS, and ACLS as required. CNOR preferred. You’ll work with an interdisciplinary team and adhere to perioperative safety protocols.

Formación

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Minimum 1 year of operating room experience, preferably ambulatory surgery.
• Active RN license as required by state or compact licensure.
• Valid BCLS certification upon employment (online not acceptable).
• ACLS as required by facility; CNOR certification preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education around the procedure and peri-operative process.
• Prepare patient for surgery including IV therapy, preoperative medications, and surgical site verification.
• Participate in surgical site verification, including briefing, time-out, debriefing, and universal protocols.
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while incorporating evidence-based practices.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including providers, surgeons, and surgical staff.
• Apply nursing process with critical thinking and clinical judgment.
• Assess patient condition, monitor throughout shift, and document changes thoroughly.
• Educate patients and families about medical conditions, treatments, and follow-up.
