Job summary

Cardiovascular Institute of the South is seeking an Office-Based Lab Registered Nurse (OBL RN) to support diagnostic and interventional peripheral vascular procedures for outpatients. Under physician supervision, you will provide comprehensive nursing care, plan, implement, coordinate and evaluate treatment plans with autonomous clinical judgment in a high-acuity setting.

You will perform nursing assessments, collaborate with a healthcare team, assist at the lab table, and maintain EMR

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN licensure with the Louisiana State Board of Nursing.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Strong communication and critical thinking in a fast-paced, procedural setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and plan patient care.
• Collaborate with physicians, technologists and staff for safe procedures.
• Prepare patients for diagnostic or interventional vascular procedures.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses during and after procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMRs and ensure chart completeness.
• Assist at the lab table during procedures with sterile technique and radiation safety.
• Support lab operations including setup, cleanup, and inventory management.
• Provide patient education from pre-procedure to discharge and coordinate discharge planning.
