Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health seeks an Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our rehabilitation team in a PRN capacity. The clinician will plan, organize and provide therapeutic services, evaluating patients and developing therapy plans to help rehabilitate individuals.

The role involves close collaboration with patients and families, thorough documentation, and ongoing education to advance clinical skills. Supervisory responsibilities for staff and students may be included with adherence to

Qualifications

• Masters' or Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification.
• Less than 1 year of experience.
• BLS certification or eligibility (Basic Life Support).

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, treats and monitors patient; modifies therapy program and goals.
• Performs thorough clinical documentation in a timely manner; enters charges accurately.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, coworkers and the medical care team; provides education.
• Supervises ancillary staff, students and volunteers.
• Advances clinical skills through ongoing education and evidence-based practice.
• Imparts knowledge to develop the clinical skills of colleagues; adheres to guidelines.
• Maintains awareness of system goals; aligns goals and activities accordingly.
