Job summary

Ballinger Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Ballinger, TX is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our in-house rehab team on a PRN basis. You will focus on improving residents’ independence, safety, and quality of life through meaningful daily activities and functional outcomes.

You will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, educate families, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Active and valid Texas Occupational Therapy license.
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred.
• Current knowledge of occupational therapy treatment practices.
• Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients to evaluate their physical condition and its impact on daily occupations, well-being, and quality of life.
• Develop individualized treatment plans using a variety of therapeutic techniques to maximize performance in activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs).
• Assess patients’ home and living environments and recommend modifications based on their needs and capabilities.
• Provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Complete documentation thoroughly and timely in compliance with company policies and state/federal regulations.
