Job summary

Parkland Health Center, part of the BJC HealthCare system, is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapist to serve an acute care patient population in Farmington, MO. The role supports a diverse caseload and requires flexible weekend coverage, including Saturdays for 4-hour shifts.

The OT will evaluate and treat patients, develop discharge plans, collaborate with families and care teams, and document care according to hospital policy. This is a community-focused position with competitive PRN rates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy (OT) required.
• Licensure as Occupational Therapist (OT) required.
• Master's Degree in OT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establishes treatment plan and provides treatment, considering discharge needs; expected discharge functional status; and appropriate equipment and supplies.
• Educates, collaborates with, and conferences with patients, families, and other health care providers; referrals to specialists as needed.
• Delegates to assistants, techs, and students with written and verbal communication to ensure appropriate skill level for interventions.
• Completes documentation per departmental policies; provides assessment, reassessment, and/or consultations for Occupational Therapy Services.
