Riverside Health in Smithfield, VA is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients in inpatient and/or outpatient settings. The OT will develop individualized care plans, perform assessments, and document progress in coordination with a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires a degree in Occupational Therapy (BS, MS, or Doctorate), and an OT license in Virginia upon hire, with CPR/BLS certification required. NBCOT is preferred.

## PRN Occupational TherapistApply: Smithfield MOB – Smithfield, VA: Part time: Posted Today: 2026-037749Smithfield, Virginia**Hiring Range**$55.00 - $63.00/HourlyActual pay is determined by program, work commitment and business needs **Overview** An Occupational Therapist carries out an individualized program for patients with acute and chronic health conditions to maximize their quality of life and achieve their functional goals. The Occupational Therapist may work in an inpatient and/or outpatient setting. The Therapist is supervised by Rehab Services management and maintains a positive working relationship with health professionals and ancillary staff. **What you will do** * Performs evaluations, determines OT diagnoses, develops plan of care, and performs occupational therapy procedures to aid in restoring function, improve mobility, relieve pain, improve health, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities.* Evaluates and assesses the patient timely, based on principles outlined by practice guidelines, evidence based guidelines and regulatory standards (state & organizational policies, requirements of accrediting bodies, etc.). Assesses and documents progress for evaluation, billing and reporting purposes.* Advises on adaptive equipment to help patients with daily activities.* Builds trusting collaborative relationships with a multi-disciplinary team to support patient care needs. Actively participates in multi-disciplinary team meetings, as assigned.* Assists and participates in training and support of all team members, volunteers and students.* Follows and carries out the treatment plan. Modifies to maximize therapeutic benefit and meet discharge criteria and returns to optimal level of care.
