Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System in Idaho seeks a passionate Medical Assistant (PRN) to support OB/GYN and Maternal Fetal Medicine clinics in Canyon County. You will assist in procedures, prepare charts, complete referrals, and help with surgeries and prior authorizations.

The role requires MA certification within 90 days of hire and an active BLS. It is a PRN position with limited hours, primarily Wednesdays in Nampa, with potential Caldwell coverage.

Qualifications

• Experience in OB/GYN clinics and commitment to women’s health.
• MA certification within 90 days of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Support Locums providers and staff PTO working at MFM and OBGYN clinics.
• Assist in procedures (colposcopies, endometrial biopsies, IUD/Nexplanon placements/removals).
• Assist with amniocentesis and CMV procedures as needed.
• Complete chart reviews, referrals, and orders; schedule surgeries; obtain prior authorizations.
