Job summary

Ascension Via Christi St. Joseph in Wichita, KS is seeking an OBGYN Laborist for PRN coverage to deliver high-quality inpatient obstetric and gynecologic care within a collaborative health system network.

The role requires Board Certification or Board Eligibility in OBGYN and eligibility for state medical licensure and DEA registration. Responsibilities include dedicated inpatient laborist coverage, triage evaluation, managing labor and delivery, and collaboration with on-site teams.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree is required.
• Physician must be credentialed by the Kansas Board of Healing Arts.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient OBGYN Laborist coverage and triage evaluation.
• Manage labor and delivery and unassigned deliveries.
• Practice setting: inpatient / hospitalist coverage.
• Collaborate with on-site nursing staff, maternal-fetal medicine specialists, and neonatology teams.
• Offer flexible PRN scheduling with shift-based coverage.
• Lead efforts to improve quality and cost-effectiveness of care.
