Job summary

Mountain Area Health Education Center (MAHEC) in Asheville, NC seeks an Obstetrician-Gynecologist for a PRN/part-time role to support inpatient, outpatient, rural, and teaching services.

Responsibilities include supervising residents and fellows, mentoring students, and collaborating with regional providers. Board certification or ABOG candidacy and NC medical license are required, with DEA certification and pediatric/adult hospital experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Board certification or active ABOG candidate.
• Current North Carolina Medical License.
• Hospital privileges at Mission Hospitals.
• Current DEA certification.

Responsibilities

• Supervise OB/GYN residents, Family Practice residents, fellows, and students on Labor and Delivery and in related areas.
• Supervise MAHEC OB/GYN advanced practice providers at Mission Hospitals.
• Consult and collaborate with regional care providers for high-acuity cases or patient transports.
• Provide collaboration and consultation as backup OB/GYN providers for MAHEC.
• Serve as Obstetric Hospitalist at Mission Hospitals and contribute to on-site supervision.
• Provide training and didactics on obstetric and gynecologic topics and evaluate learners.
