Job summary

Premise Health is seeking a PRN Nurse Practitioner to provide high-quality care to employees and dependents at our Fort Smith, AR Health Center. This role offers PRN hours Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with strong clinical assessment skills and independent practice.

The ideal candidate will have a Master’s in Nursing, NP licensure, state RN license, DEA, and current national certification, plus 3+ years in ambulatory or occupational health settings.

Qualifications

• Maintain state RN licenses/certificates to practice.
• Maintain Nurse Practitioner licenses/certificates to practice.
• Maintain State Prescriptive Authority (if applicable).
• Federal DEA license (matching each state of practice as applicable).
• Current national certification (ANCC or AANP).
• Master’s Degree in Science of Nursing.
• BLS/ACLS certification as required by contract scope.

Responsibilities

• Conducts physical exams and preventive health measures per guidelines.
• Performs procedures such as injections, suturing, wound care, and infection management.
• Develops patient care plans, records progress, and ensures continuity of care.
• Educates patients on treatment plans, health maintenance, and development.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to assess clinical conditions.
• Collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams for comprehensive care.
• Prescribes or recommends treatments, including medications and therapies.
• Refers patients to specialists or physicians as needed.
• Maintains patient health records and ensures accurate documentation.
• Educates and coaches nursing staff on best practices.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
