Job summary

Palo Pinto General Hospital is seeking a Nurse Practitioner PRN to provide patient-centered care across multiple clinic locations in Mineral Wells, TX. The role involves assessment, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic conditions, with emphasis on education, prevention, and team collaboration.

The NP will work with physicians and other clinicians, delivering high-quality care while adapting to fluctuating patient volumes in a flexible PRN capacity.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted NP license in Texas is required.
• Minimum of one year experience as an NP.
• Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Good clinical experience in primary or urgent care settings.
• Strong knowledge of ACLS, PALS, and DEA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history and exams.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans per guidelines.
• Prescribe medications within scope of practice and monitor responses.
• Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention.
• Collaborate with care teams and coordinate referrals as needed.
• Document all interactions accurately in electronic health records.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and professional standards.
• Adapt to varying clinics and PRN scheduling requirements.
