Qualifications

• Associate's degree in respiratory care or equivalent.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Texas State Board license as Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP).
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from NBRC.

Responsibilities

• Performs respiratory care services like oxygen and aerosol therapy.
• Reviews orders and implements therapy as directed by physician.
• Handles routine to advanced respiratory therapy per patient needs.
• Instructs patients on equipment use and documents treatments.
• Adheres to infection control, HIPAA, attendance and policies.
• Collaborates with staff and students to deliver care.
• Takes initiative to meet leadership requirements.
• Contributes to quality improvement in clinical care.
