Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for PRN Night shifts at Liberty Hospital. You will assess cardiopulmonary status and perform a range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under physician orders, while educating patients and families on respiratory health.

This role requires an Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy, state RT licensure, and NBRC (RRT) registration, with NRP within 120 days. Prior critical care experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Respiratory Therapy required.
• Licensed Respiratory Therapist (RT) in the state upon hire.
• NBRC-registered (RRT) upon hire; NRP within 120 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and follow-up respiratory assessments with physician-approved plan of care.
• Manage ventilator settings for neonatal to geriatric patients; tailor therapy.
• Provide patient education and document results for the care team.
