Job summary

100 LCMC Health in New Orleans, LA is seeking a dedicated Med-Surg nurse to provide frontline patient care on the night shift. You’ll lead care touchpoints, coordinate with a multidisciplinary team, and advocate for a safe, compassionate environment for every patient and family.

You will monitor patient conditions, respond to changes, prevent and treat wounds, and educate patients and families using appropriate resources.

Qualifications

• Current nursing license to practice in Louisiana.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Current PALs certification.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize, coordinate, and delegate care touchpoints for patients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure direct patient care.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients, families, and staff.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to significant events.
• Educate patients and families about continuum of care and resources.
• Advise supervisor when assignments cannot be completed safely.
