Family & Children's Services is seeking staff to support individuals with behavioral health needs in Oklahoma City. Role involves crisis response, community outreach, and connecting clients to appropriate resources while maintaining confidentiality and collaborative teamwork.
The position emphasizes de-escalation, safety planning, and effective documentation, with opportunities to engage families and professionals in discharge planning and follow-up care.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Adheres to agency policy and procedures,CARF and DMHSAS standards and criteria,CCBHC practices,federal and state confidentiality rules and regulations, and any special funding source requirementsincluding Medicaid and HCA regulations.
Supports and promotes a service environment forindividualin need of behavioral health and/or co-occurring services thatisrecovery focused, welcoming, and attentive to the needs of individuals who may have experienced trauma in their lives. Attends annual core competencies traininginrelationshiptoindividuals with co-occurring disorders or who have experienced traumain their lives.
Establishes andmaintainsprofessional working relationships withsupervisorand peers. Can effectively work within a team or group setting cohesively.
Responds to HOPE Crisis line, First Responder IPAD, and 988 dispatch calls to help clients in crisis.
Responds to calls in the community to de-escalate or provide linkage to the level of care needed.
Establishes rapport with clients, assessing client needs; organizes, plans, and delivers face-to-face client services; and provides verbal de-escalation when necessary.
Coordinates the needs of clients and family members with resources available and provides client advocacy as needed with an emphasis on preventing hospitalization.
Participates in outreach and engagement efforts for clients and other professionals at inpatient levels of care tofacilitatereferrals and client participation in services.
Assistsclients in finding and accessing community resources needed tomaintainindependent functioning.
Assistsclients in safety planning tomaintainthe least restrictive level of care.
Responsible formaintainingstrictest confidentiality guidelines for interactionsregardingconsumer and family information.
Available Shifts – Sunday thru Tuesday 7am to 7pm or 7pm to 7am with rotating Wednesdays; Thursday thru Saturday 7am to 7pm or 7pm to 7am with rotating Wednesdays; PRN available to cover call ins andvacations
Responsible forseeking outsupervisoryassistanceforadditionaltraining and to enhance skill set as needed.
Interactswith other professionals to discuss therapy or treatment,new resourcesor techniques, and to share information. Works as a liaison between inpatient psychiatric facilities toassistin discharge planning and follow-up care from inpatient treatment.
Reports anddocumentsservicesin accordance withagency policy and procedures. Adheres toHOPEpolicy and procedure of having documentation completed by the end of the next business day.
May berequiredto work evening or weekend hours.
May provide coverage for URC MHT staff.
May berequiredto provide client transportation using a personal vehicle or agency owned vehicle.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

In order toprovide client transportation, mustpossesscurrent, validOklahomalicense, meetHOPE insurance requirements. HOPE will annually obtaincopyof Motor Vehicle Record from the Department of Public Safety.
