Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician (PRN) to join the lab team. The role requires competency in hematology, chemistry, immunohematology, POCT, and urinalysis, with venipuncture skills for all ages.

You will collect specimens, perform testing, input data into the LIS, and support the supervisor with quality and safety protocols. Candidates should hold an MLT or be eligible for certification and have an associate degree in Laboratory Science or Medical

Qualifications

• Must possess MLT or be eligible to sit for MLT certification exam.

Responsibilities

• Performs venipuncture and capillary sticks on infants, children and adults.
• Collects blood, performs tests and inputs results into the computer.
• Proficient in Hematology, Chemistry, Immunohematology, POCT, and microscopic urine.
• Follows SOPs and reports critical values per protocol.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety of the work area.
• Adheres to scheduling and attends required training.
