Job summary

Margaret Mary Health is seeking a dependable PRN Laboratory Technician/Medical Laboratory Scientist to support the hospital laboratory. The role may be filled by either MT/MLS (Bachelor's) or MLT (Associate) with shifts on nights and evenings, and requires patient identification, phlebotomy, and accurate testing per protocol.

Responsibilities include specimen collection, testing, QC, and timely reporting of results, while maintaining documentation and safety standards in a fast-paced laboratory

Qualifications

• MLS/MT or MLT degree required or equivalent.
• PRN status for night/evening shifts (5p-5a and 12p-8:30p).
• Proven ability to perform routine phlebotomy and specimen testing.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze laboratory specimens according to protocol.
• Verify results and report promptly, with quality control checks.
• Maintain proper labeling, handling, and transportation of specimens.
• Troubleshoot QC issues and document corrective actions.
• Ensure patient safety and accurate patient identification before procedures.
• Organize workload for efficiency and independence in testing.
