Job summary

Crossover Health in Layton, UT is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians with patient intake, vital signs, and documentation within our Primary Health team. You will manage front-to-back clinic tasks, coordinate scheduling, and ensure accurate records.

The role requires graduating from an accredited Medical Assistant or Surgical Technician program, at least 2 years of back-office experience, and current BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant or surgical technician program.
• Minimum of 2 years comparable clinical back office medical assistant experience.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• Excellent English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Handles all guest interactions with hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests.
• Resolves customer inquiries related to clinic services and hours of operation.
• Takes medical histories, measures vitals, and assists clinicians with patient care.
• Manages inventory, orders, and replenishes medical supplies.
• Administers medications as within scope of practice.
• Operates multi-line phone system, schedules appointments, and handles emails with clear communication.

Job Summary

Job Responsibilities

• Handles all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible
• Resolves customer complaints; assists customers with inquiries in connection with clinic services and hours of Operations.
• Takes medical histories, measure patient vitals, and other pertinent information to assist the clinician with care of the patient.
• Handles inventory, orders, and replenish medical supplies and materials.
• Administers medications, including injections in scope of practice..
• Handles multi-phone line system, professionally answering calls, scheduling appointments, responding to email, and ensuring great communication
• Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant or surgical technician program
• Minimum of 2 years comparable clinical back office medical assistant experience.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.

• Excellent computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft products.
• Reading, writing, and excellent oral proficiency in the English language.

Physical Job Requirements

• May require standing, walking and sitting for extended amounts of time.

• Requires corrected vision, hearing and speech within normal ranges. Must be able to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
