Job summary

OU Health is seeking a Mammographer for the Breast Health Network in Northwest Oklahoma City on a PRN basis. The role involves performing diagnostic mammography, ensuring safety, and maintaining high-quality standards in outpatient settings.

Qualifications

Solid knowledge of normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology, mammography principles and radiologic terminology.
Ability to prioritize and independently complete clinical and non‑clinical work assignments with limited direction.
Responds to inquiries from patients and family members and communicates testing timelines clearly.

Responsibilities

Performs diagnostic mammography exams as ordered by a care provider.
Ensures testing is performed safely and with high quality standards.
Prepares patients for procedures and reviews clinical history to align with tests.
Transfers images to the electronic health system and prepares study for physician reporting.
Performs routine quality control checks and equipment cleaning per guidelines.
May support teaching of students in radiologic programs and onboarding of new staff.
