Job summary

Good Samaritan in Brainerd, MN seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for PRN shifts in long-term care. You will provide professional nursing care under supervision, administer medications, and contribute to resident assessments within established care plans.

Responsibilities include documenting care, communicating with residents and families, and supporting an interdisciplinary team. Availability for 6 shifts/month with weekend rotation and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Associate degree in practical nursing preferred.
• If IV therapy/management skills are required in North Dakota: ND Board approved IV therapy course.
• Unencumbered LPN license with state board and/or multi-state licensure privileges; ongoing CEU/comptency training.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for residents under supervision of RN/physician.
• Administer medications or treatments as ordered.
• Assess residents and contribute to care plans and documentation.
• Communicate with residents, families and health care team; maintain confidentiality.

Education

Licensed Practical Nurse license

Associate degree in practical nursing preferred

IV therapy course/ND board approval
