Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking an LPN to provide prescribed medical treatment and personal care in an inpatient setting across Mercyhealth's northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin network.

The role involves delivering nursing care, observing patients, administering medications, and supporting the care plan under RN direction. CPR/BLS certification is required within 90 days, with strong emphasis on patient safety and documentation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited LPN Program.
• Illinois: Ladder Option Approved Designated RN Program.
• Experience in clinical setting preferred.
• CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient care by performing treatments and procedures per protocols.
• Observe patients and report adverse reactions to meds or treatments.
• Administer specified medications as allowed by license and policy.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and communicate with RN.
• Follow patient care plans and assist in implementing them.
• Document care provided and participate in QA & I.
