Knollwood Life Plan Community in Washington, DC is seeking a PRN Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our nursing division. This per diem role supports residents who are veterans, military spouses, and Gold Star families, with a five-star team and flexible scheduling.

As a PRN LPN, you will administer medications, document in MatrixCare, monitor health status, and assist CNA staff. The role offers shift variety, potential path to regular employment, and access to campus amenities.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in the District of Columbia in good standing.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a geriatric, long-term care, or assisted living setting.
• Proficiency with electronic health records (MatrixCare or similar).
• Strong teamwork, prioritization, and clinical communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with EHR documentation.
• Monitor residents' health status and escalate concerns promptly to RN/charge nurse.
• Document nursing care accurately in MatrixCare.
• Support CNA staff to meet resident care and shift goals.
• Communicate respectfully with residents, families, and the care team.
• Participate in shift reports, care conferences, and quality improvement activities.
• Follow infection control protocols and safety procedures.
• Respond to resident emergencies under RN direction.
• Complete incident reporting within two hours when required.
