Job summary

Wexford Health Sources, Inc. is seeking an LPN for the Robert L. Shell Juvenile Center in Barboursville, WV.

This PRN position covers 6am–2pm or 2pm–10pm shifts and focuses on hands-on nursing care for a vulnerable population under supervision of RNs and medical providers. Responsibilities include administering meds, performing wound care, vital signs, documentation, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Active CPR certification.
• 1-2 years of nursing experience; correctional experience preferred.
• Strong clinical and communication skills; adaptability in high-pressure settings.
• Compassionate, nonjudgmental approach to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
• Assist with activities of daily living and therapeutic interventions.
• Take vital signs and monitor patient conditions.
• Provide wound care and change dressings.
• Support documentation and care planning.
• Promote hygiene, sanitation, and a safe environment for all patients.
• Serve as a vital part of a multidisciplinary treatment team.
