Job summary

NHC HomeCare Panama City is seeking a PRN LPN to provide skilled nursing services under RN supervision in home health care across Panama City, FL. The position requires an unencumbered LPN license, graduation from an approved LPN program, and at least one year of clinical LPN experience.

Mentoring is provided during the first year and home health care experience is desirable. Competitive wages and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Unencumbered LPN license in the state where the agency is located or a compact state.
• Graduate of a state approved LPN program.
• Minimum one year clinical LPN experience.
• Individuals with less than one year’s experience will be considered.
• Experience in home health care is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, provides skilled nursing services as ordered on the plan of care and according to policy/procedures and state practice acts.
• Instructs the patient/caregiver in various aspects of patient care and disease management; documents comprehension and compliance with teaching.
• Observes patient response to care/teaching and makes recommendations regarding revisions to the plan for patient care to the RN.
• Provides and documents skilled nursing care according to the established plan of care, policies/procedures, and standards of care; performs other duties as assigned by the RN/Clinical Manager.

Licensure:
