Excelsior Care Group is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join Wedgewood Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Lakeland, Florida as a PRN (per diem) team member. You will assist the Physical Therapist in delivering therapy sessions tailored to resident needs and help maintain a safe, clean therapy area.

Applicants must hold a current Florida PTA license and have at least 1 year of experience in a nursing home or rehabilitation setting.

Minimum 1 year experience in nursing home or rehabilitation setting.

Responsibilities

Assist the Physical Therapist in delivering safe and effective therapy sessions tailored to individual resident needs.
Adhere to departmental policies, including maintaining a professional dress code and a positive, respectful attitude.
Follow strict safety protocols and infection control measures to ensure resident safety.
Maintain an organized and clean therapy area, ensuring essential equipment is available and in working order.
Report hazardous conditions or equipment issues promptly to your supervisor.
Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as required for tasks involving potential exposure to bodily fluids.
Notify your supervisor immediately regarding missing or unclear labels or Safety Data Sheets (SDSs).
