Job summary

Texas Health HEB in Bedford, TX is seeking a Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) for a PRN Day shift. The role requires: ADN or nursing diploma, RN license at hire, BCLS, ACLS, NRP, NRPA, CPI within specified hires, and 1 year RN experience with preference for L&D background.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, planning and delivering care, and ensuring safety. Perks include 401k, EAP, and tobacco cessation program.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred.
• RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required.
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required.
• ACLS – within 90 days of hire.
• NRP – within 90 days of hire.
• NRPA - within 90 days of hire.
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training - within 90 days of hire.
• 1 Year experience as a Registered Nurse required.
• 1 year of RN experience in L&D strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process.
• Assesses the patient.
• Plans the care of the patient.
• Intervenes as appropriate.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions.
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information.
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.

Education
