Job summary

OneOncology in Michigan is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse to staff infusion clinics as needed, offsetting staffing shortages and high volumes. You will assess and monitor patients, administer therapy, and coordinate the overall treatment plan in collaboration with providers.

The ideal candidate is an active Michigan RN with minimum 2 years medical/surgical nursing experience, oncology preferred, and current BLS.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in Michigan.
• Successful completion of orientation program.
• ONS Chemo & Biotherapy Card within 6 months.
• BLS certification within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Functions under Infusion Nurse and Telephone Triage Nurse descriptions.
• Develops and implements teaching strategies for patient education.
• Initiates follow-up care in home and community.
• Documents nursing care per guidelines.
• Communicates with health team for continuity of care.
• Serves as advocate for patients and families.
• Leads by delegating to support staff for safe, efficient care.
• Ensures documentation of chargeable services including supplies.
• Maintains patient confidentiality.
