Job summary

River Point Behavioral Health, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, seeks a PRN House Supervisor RN to oversee care for psychiatric and chemically dependent patients on assigned shifts.

You will staff, implement, and evaluate nursing care, while guiding staff development and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and standards.

Qualifications

• Must be a Graduate of an approved School of Nursing with an active Florida RN license.
• Minimum 3 years psychiatric nursing experience with supervisory duties.
• Associates degree preferred; BSN not required.

Responsibilities

• Staff, implement and evaluate nursing care for psychiatric and chemically dependent patients during each designated shift.
• Oversee operational and programmatic management of the shift; supervise nursing staff and address performance, discipline, and conflicts.

Responsible for the staffing, implementation and evaluation of nursing care for psychiatric and chemically dependent patients during each designated shift. Also, responsible for the operational and programmatic management of the designated shift; and assist in the professional growth and development of nursing staff, carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s. This position is responsible for planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems when needed.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved School of Nursing
• Valid license with the Board of Nursing for the State of Florida
• Prefer three (3) years Clinical Psychiatric Nursing experience with one of those years including supervisory duties
• Must have a minimum of an Associates Degree from an accredited college or university is preferred
